Basic Life Support is the type of care that first-responders provide to anyone, who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway.

An Automated External Defibrillator is a portable, medical device that analyses the heart’s rhythm, and when necessary, delivers an electric shock to help the heart restore an effective rhythm.

At Staff Defence, we insist that each Instructor possesses, as a minimum, a fully-accredited award in education and training, First Aid at Work Level 3 Award, and Conflict Management Level 2. Each Instructor benefits from the full public liability insurance that Staff Defence provides.

The BLS & Safe Use of an AED course is held at our bespoke training venue at:

Pippingford Park Manor, Nutley, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 3HW. Here we can comfortably seat up to 30 Delegates per course.

However, we can be flexible for large groups and for their convenience, we can conduct the training at the client’s location.

This is done through a process of prior discussion with you to decide exactly which components are embedded into the course. We accept and appreciate that we are all unique individuals, so that means for group work especially, we aim to address everybody’s needs. Then, for your complete assurance, we await written confirmation, stating that you are completely satisfied with the content of the course prior to its delivery.

There is no age requirement, but should age merit any concern, then the potential Attendee must be assessed, prior to the course.

As with all of our courses, the BLS & Safe Use of an AED course is competitively priced at £45.00 + VAT per person.

This course is assessed through an on-going practical assessment and a final written test.

On successful completion of the BLS & Safe Use of an AED course, you will receive the following certificate:
