First Aid Training courses in accordance with the HSE guidelines

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 place a requirement upon employers to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and personnel proficiently trained to administer immediate first aid to employees, should they get injured or become ill at work.

Staff Defence offers First Aid Training courses in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, in order to meet the criteria set for companies to consider when selecting a First Aid provider.

Working with Highfield Qualifications, the accrediting centre, our trainers hold a current FAW (First Aid at Work) certificate and a First Aid Trainer’s certificate. At the end of each course, after passing the assessment, each successful participant is awarded a First Aid certificate (in accordance with the HSE Regulations), which lasts for 3 years.

What you will learn

One Trainer will deliver the course to a group of 12 persons (maximum). For larger groups, we will provide two Trainers, which means you are allowed to place 24 learners (maximum) onto the course. Our pricing is competitive and included in the price is the certification.

Both our First Aid at Work (FAW) and the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses are designed for those learners intent on gaining a nationally recognised qualification by Highfields ABC in First Aid, so that they can become emergency First Aiders in their workplace. These are nationally recognised qualifications in line with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Staff Defence is able to make changes to this course to accommodate groups of a particular audience, such as, office workers or field workers.

We offer two levels of First Aid training, together with refresher courses. In order to determine which course is best suited to your requirements, employers are advised to complete the HSE needs assessment.

These courses are generally run at our training venue in Onley near Rugby in the East Midlands, but can also be held at a your own company location in a suitable venue.

BLS & Safe Use of AED
